Just noticed that the MK club have updated some details on this years Campaign. As I can't recall them posting it anywhere but their web site (presumably they think osmosis is the best marketing strategy) seems useful to point people to it.

The web site is http://mkws.org.uk/index.php?s=national

Introduction

As part of the National Wargames League, Milton Keynes Wargames Society will again be offering an interesting selection of periods for the 15mm Ancients competition at Campaign. This year the rules used will be Field of Glory. The periods have been carefully chosen to provide a challenging novel wargaming tournament experience at the same time to produce a spectacle for visitors from well known eras of history. Six periods were presented and a vote by last year’s teams honed the selection to the final three.

For entry information, visit the National Wargames League Page.
The 15mm Ancients competition is a BHGS Ranking Tournament.

See also 25mm Ancients Tournament and 15mm Renaissance Tournament.

General Rules

1. A team consists of three players. A player playing in each of the 3 periods.
2. Rules Field of Glory.
3. Only the armies listed in each of the periods may be selected. This is further limited to the time ranges specified for the periods.
4. An ally may only be selected if it appears in the list of armies for the period.
5. The army size.
6. The team army lists should be E-mailed to Darrell Pearce no later than date extended to 30 April 2009.

Teams currently entered for the 2009 season are:

Checked the Campaign website today ,only 7 FOG teams listed as entered so far (one of them seems to be Dave Ruddock playing on his own :o ),it would be good to get a few more to get at least 2 divisions going

Perhaps those people that might be in 'his' team are a bit embarassed

Well you would know Phil ;)

Actually, thinking about it, it might be Dave Redhead who wants to play but doesn't have a team yet

As for more teams this year for me and for Pete Reilly it is just a bad date

Or perhaps he's too embarrassed to name us, erm, I mean the rest of his team.

Just looked at the site, it is indeed Mr Ruddock who has no mates

From what I know Dave, Phil P and Nik will be the "MAWS" team this year as the other two members of the Khoregate team (Pete Reilly and myself) can't make it. Dave Redhead from MAWS has expressed interest so that would be 7 1/3 teams.

Obviously Darrell didn't want Phil or Nik associated with the event as I have told him what our team is... ;)

From Darrell:
We need at least 1 more team for the Fog competition. We are happy to take either teams or individual players. Anybody interested drop me an e-mail to packwide@aol.com

Need another team for Campaign.

Chaps, Currently only the 7 teams below have entered for Campaign 09 in Milton Keynes.

As you may or may not know the league structure does not work with 7 teams and we really could do with either another team entering to give 2leagues of 4 or alternatively another 5 teams to get 2 divisions of 6. Alternatively 3 individual entries could be grouped together.
Your help would be much appreciated in spreading the word.

thanks
Jim

There must be 3 other players out there, even DBMM has as many teams as FOG at present,Milton Keynes can't take up the slack this time as most don't play FOG

Well, MK don't play FoG apart from the one MK team who is playing FoG...

We need one player apparently.

All those lancers. It will be. First one to roll a fist full of threes dies.
