Sandstorm - Tobruk: Can't go on fighting after accomplishing primary objectives

After taking Bengasi a message appears telling you that there will be the option to accomplish the secondary objectives after you accomplish both primary objectives. I assume this means "even if it takes more than the regular 30 turns", otherwise it wouldn't make much sense. But my game ended after 30 turns. I did the primary objectives, but couldn't go on playing. What's wrong?

Wasn't involved much in doing Afrika content myself, but standard is that a scenario ends when all primary objectives are done, regardless of secondaries achieved (or not) at this point. It can be avoided if the designer does script it otherwise.

The message seems to be more a hint that in this battle said standard behaviour will not occur (on your choice), giving you the chance to achieve secondaries first and continue to do primaries later.

But - after looking into this scn briefly - it does not sound to me that you get extra turns for that (beyond the max. no. of turns for this scn).

No, it means the scen doesn't end EARLY after completing the primary objectives, but you may continue playing until you complete the secondaries OR the mission runs out of turns (whatever comes first).

If you want overtime, use cheat codes.

You are right. I forgot that the scenarios end after completing the primary objectives. It was my first game after some weeks of playing something else. A severe case of either decreasing brain capacity or wishful thinking. (Probably both)

By the way, I saved a draft post before submitting it. Where do I find the draft?
