Etiquette regarding ending stalled games

What's everyone's etiquette when it comes to ending stalled games? I usually like to wait a few extra days, until past the next weekend, before I hit that 'End Stalled Game' button. So it usually is like 10 or so days with no turn played that I end a game. But sometimes when I'm on a binge and has gone Full Schweetness by maxing out my allowed number of games, and there's another challenge I want to pick up, I'll end a game as soon as the 7 days is up. I do feel slightly bad afterwards. So how does everyone here handle ending stalled games? Is there a commonly agreed etiquette regarding this?

I usually leave them for a month, but then I've never maxed out my games.

I leave them for about a month as well. At some point the server auto deletes them anyway. The max is thirty some games, and I am usually at about 20-25, so it hasn't really been an issue.

I delete after 7 games if I want to play another game and especially if the player hasn't even made a move. 7 days is a long time not to have made a move.

You see, whenever that glitch occurs where your opponent can't submit his last turn because you have maxed out your number of games, It leaves an unplayable game clogging up their inbox for a week. Which in turn makes it more likely that your opponent ends up maxing out his games. So, like a zombie virus it slowly spreads. Until everyone has gone full Schweetness due to the number of bugged out games filling their inbox. That is how the End Times will occur for FoG 2, it has been foretold.

Most of the time I just leave them. Often I find folks will come back to given a gentle nudge via PM or discord / steam msg. IRL stuff sometimes intervenes and not everyone especially in casual friendly battles wants to crank out turns. If it isn't something I want to play anymore no big deal ending it though IMO (I wouldn't feel overly bad about it). I usually play the bulk of my games with people I can at least can message and often they are people I have played with before so I tend to get a sense of what their play style is. You can always easily reach out and start another game too. Just don't become that guy who regularly goes around ending a bunch of games abruptly one or two turns right after accepting the challenges.
