POA question

Quick question:

Under the Impact POA table, there are a couple of entries which I'm confused about:

1) Impact Foot (+) against any mounted, unless charging shock mounted.
2) Light Spear (+) unless charging shock mounted.

In each case is that supposed to mean 'unless the unit so armed is charging mounted shock troops,' or 'unless the unit so armed is being charged by mounted shock troops?'

Thanks in advance.

This is a good "use of English" query...
The use of "unless" rather than except seems to indicate the impact foot are the chargers in the first but the second (light spear) is wide open....unless his quotes aren't exactly as the rule book.

If the foot are charging (i.e. have declared a charge on or are pursuing into) shock mounted then the POA for impact foot or light spear does not apply. If the foot are being charged by the shock mounted then the POA is good.

The impact foot are still charging. Unless they were intercepted in flank or rear. In which case their charge would be cancelled
