Who are these nomadic horse archers?

In Breton 411-579 AD, we can see there are nomadic horse archers and light version as well. I think Bretons are on the northwest tip of the European continent, so who are these nomadics in the army? Just curious. :roll:

I believe they are a remnant of the Alan peoples that settled in Brittany after the fall of the Western Roman Empire. For some time they seem to have kept their traditional fighting style before, presumably, being fully assimilated into the local population.
