[Germany's taken the capital. It is their last stand.]

[Note: I did try to make it a fully fledged working scenario (hence some of the units that were already placed), but kinda gave up. I might start working on it. For now it is a non-playable scenario.]

For your second map, youcould name it ‘Tri-Point’.

I know I haven't posted anything here in a WHILE, with that in mind; I am sorry for the wait(If I had kept you waiting :( ).

Currently I've been working on the campaign that I've announced.

After the campaign release, i'll also release the "non-gameplay" versions of the 3 biggest scenarios in the campaign. (only for visual looks and what it looks like without anything (units, gameplay) in it, just the pure final version before making it into a fully-fledged map.)

I'm also currently experiencing lag spikes when working on my maps, which is a huge distraction. If anyone can help me get this lag off of me, that'd be great, i'll tell you about it if you do help.

Hello.

Little update: I've made the decision to stop making the campaign I was doing, since I wasn't finding any success with it, my only strong suite is map making :D , not scenario making. So this day onwards, I'm just making custom maps since I feel like that's the best way of making one, through creativity and imagination.

About that: I'm working on a 120x120 custom map based in so called "France". It will be labelled and everything. Details included. The release date will not be confirmed until I say so.

The map is about 83% done. What's missing is some cities, foliage and other labelling I have to add. It will be uploaded via Mediafire, if that's okay.

I will also be uploading some other scrapped maps that I made included with the pack. I will clean those maps out and release it for the public to use for FREE, yes, for FREE. You heard that right.
Make of it what you will. You can edit, replace, whatever you like, just add credits if you want to use them for a scenario. (Thanks.)

What this means is that if you aren't confident with your map making, you can just use one of the maps given to use in your own custom campaign or whatever.

P.S I'll also probably give a PDF guide on how to map (The very advanced way, basics will be included!) if I have the time to do it, people can also help! 8)

Hope that I wont just disappear for a few months lol. (Sorry for being gone for so long.)

Vex,
Sorry about your campaign fizzling. Maybe you could concentrate on one scenario that interests you and complete it to build confidence and get feedback. We'll be glad to play it and advise.

The maps are a very good thing to offer. I have found that large maps slow down the load time but dont really negatively affect gameplay - that is more related to AI Teams, triggers, and number of AI units.

But you will be happier and folks will have more confidence in your product if you have them ready to use, not at an incomplete level.

Thanks, and bon chance!

Hello Conboy! Long time no see!
Maybe you could concentrate on one scenario that interests you and complete it to build confidence and get feedback. We'll be glad to play it and advise.
Yes, I will definitely come back to making non-campaign scenarios to test out my skills, that'll be a guarantee. The other day I was thinking about finishing one of the campaign's scenarios for you all to see, maybe like a little teaser since I feel like making an entire campaign of like, lets say 7-8 maps that I was planning for- would really burn me out. In the future, I'll possibly release 2 maps from it, and I have those 2 maps thought out -sorta.
The maps are a very good thing to offer.
The reason why I'm giving out maps is so that they can possibly be used in other peoples works and so that those maps don't get abandoned and they'll never see the light of day. I have made so many unfinished maps, mostly due to being unsatisfied with how its going, me just getting bored of it, or it just being really bad in general (most of those were the old days).
I have found that large maps slow down the load time but dont really negatively affect gameplay - that is more related to AI Teams, triggers, and number of AI units.
Although that's true, the "France" map was only planned for showcasing the creativity I gained over the year of map making. Almost like a resume. Showing off 8).
In these showcase maps, the purpose for it was to just take it all in, not worrying about FPS since it doesn't really matter; its like a beautiful art gallery, that's what map making's all about.
The way everything flows well with each other.
But you will be happier and folks will have more confidence in your product if you have them ready to use, not at an incomplete level.

Thanks, and bon chance!

Thank you for the words, conboy. I was not expecting a response from anybody.

After all, maps will definitely be released. Not sure when, It'll probably come in as a surprise.

The reason why I was inactive is that I wasn't finding any good Ideas for a scenario, or sometimes even map making, because I already made most of them in my spare time. So I kind of drifted away from this game. In those times where I was gone, I was playing other games, even Townscaper for that matter, hell, that was a lot of fun.
(@kono_city if you're wondering what kind of build's I did in the game, it just brings so much creativity to the table it's great :))

But for now, I'll just be making maps, and the scenarios that I want to work on, but will take more time because I probably have to re-learn most things :D.
