Does the steam version of the game include cloud saves?
Windows needs to be re-installed and i don't want to lose progress
Thanks,

Files stored in a seperate online storage. Steam for example offers a personal space online where some of your saved game files can be stored. Not all games work this way though so it is a bit difficult to determine if OoB is amongst them! I did seem to remember an option somewhere in the game but i can't find it anymore. A gameplatform such as GoG offers online functionality for all of their games... of course it (probably) is easy to find the location of the savegames stored on your device and maybe they'll transover with the file transfer in preparation of the new windows installation but it would be nice if i could scrap that one of my list in advance without any further trouble then writing a message on a forum

If you're on Windows Do you use OneDrive?
I used to do this all the time with Panzer Corps with both mods and game saves as I switched from Laptop to Tablet. You create a "junction" in Windows to the relevant folders:

The underlying real folders are on OneDrive but the links are placed where the Game needs them.

this is a very nice suggestion. I usually remove onedrive after finishing windows install. Maybe it is time to enter the year 2019!
steam does not cloadsave your files, this much i know now! transporting the whole oob directory found under documents-mygames to a disc that would not be touched worked well too!
anwyays i can continu. did not progress that far but playing these first levels is always such a drag after spending several hours in them already!
