Just curious... are there movement trays for 15mm minis? Rather than basing them traditionally, I was thinking of using movement trays -- allows you to move the BGs faster.

Some people use magnetic sheets cut to the size of the BG placed under the bases to hold them in formation. Most to be honest just move bases individually.

What I plan to do is cut out standard plastic floor tiles to the correct size and pop the units on it. Simple. 8)

These guys make 15mm movement trays they call them small trays.

TBH I use their large ones for both 28mm and 15mm because I find that by the time I use 2-3 mm MDF bases with the possibility of a magnetic strip under that then the large ones suit my figs anyway.

They are not exactly level but are not expensive. They generally turn up within a week.

They are very helpfull and will even try to make specials for you.

Here is one of them on my 15mm Bulgar fence post carriers. :-

Hi guys

I like movement trays in theory but in practice I feel most of my troops will be altering formation too much during the game to make it viable.

How do you deal with this?

Most of the guys I have spoken to say the same thing Rob, For me it seems to speed early stage movement up massively for a large battle. It is not a great problem to drop the trays when formations need to change. I don`t speak from experience as yet but am about to start my first battle for some 20 years in the next 30 minutes.

I use 3mm MDF, pre-cut to the correct size, with steel paper on top (all my troops bases are magnabased).

However, I only do this for big BGs that are difficult to move - pike blocks, for example.
