Hi
I use a mixture of enamel and acrylic paints on my models. Would it be OK to use acrylic varnish on them?
Thanks

Should be OK. Enamel should stand up to anything short of paint stripper.
If you are worried, do a test on a piece of scrap material.

I agree with lawrence. But would add be careful with some of the spray matt varnish as it needs to be agitated for a good 2 mins to actually dry matt if that is the finish you want. I have found that Humbrol matt varnish no 49 does the job well.

and it needs to be re-agitated every couple of minutes. This is true of the pots as well.
THe best matt varnish spray I ever came acoss was a brand called "Rail Match" for railway modellers. It formed a nice thin layer that was absolutely flat matt and invisible for all practical purposes.

For brush-on acrylic matt varnish, I recently started using Winsor & Newton Galeria acrylic matt (from artists shops) - with the proviso that you need to shake it thoroughly first to get best results, I've been very pleased with it and it does away with the need to spray (& hopefully that depressing white bloom that sometimes hapens with spray varnish if it's a bit too humid)
regards
