Unable to log into server

Have been trying for an hour to log into FoG Empires MP server without success. I have also rebooted twice.

I just spent an hour doing a turn and when I went to submit it I received a message saying "you're not logged in" and the game froze. I had to kill it and start all over again.
Furthermore, when I go and check a matrix games forum, the page opens in 1 second. Here, it is a minimum of 30 seconds, but usually 1 minute or more.

The Slitherine Forum has been desperately slow all day.

I also had issues logging into multiplayer today. Got in on the fifth try, though. The multiplayer server has been a bit slow to respond in general since the patch.
