For the electronic version, wouldn't they be exactly the same (European vs. American) ? Whats the difference where the file ends up? Am I missing something?

Yes - anyone can download the digital version for PC no problem. Sorry for the confusion. By European release I meant retail release.

Also, Sony, Microsoft & Nintendo stock are nto permitted to be sold outside their territory. So we are not allowed to export these games to the US.

Thanks for the info. Can you please explain the licensing rules for the new download release and the retail box version? I like the freedom to install the SW and run it without a link to the 'mothership'. Thanks again.

There is a serial number issued which you need to run the game but there is no online authemtification. Does that answer your question. We're trying to make it as simple for you guys to play the games you've paid for.

Thanks. I bought it last night and am playing right now! :-) I started 1941 as Axis and am attempting Barbarossa. Now I need to read more online info to understand the mechanics better. Thanks for making the authentication simple. I look forward to many happy hours of fun. javascript:emoticon(':D')
