Hi, can anyone help me understand why I can't build a pirate ship? Am I missing something or is this a bug?

What's the reason it says in the message when you move your mouse over the Pirate ship icon? (you'd be better to put a screenshot of that)

I'm just teasing, I'm sure he meant to say you'd be better to put a screenshot...

There is no pirate ship icon... that's the point. There's only light, medium and heavy warship icons. I can build light and medium but not the heavy warship.

2 questions.

1) does your faction have the pirate trait? - or in other words did you conquer the region with the building?
2) have you gone beyold civ level 1? (or 2, I forget the actual threshold)

I'm Civ level 2 and I built the Pirate's lair. I've no idea if I have the pirate trait. I'm assuming so or why give me the option to build the lair?

No problem and I'm certain that your english grammer is much better than mine for your native language

Another coastal province has just offered the Pirate Lair as a build option, so I'm trying again... I'm wondering if it was because I already had a harbour that it isn't recognising the lair? In this new province this will be the only sea facility so let's see what happens.
