Is there a "shortcut" key for a low ground level view.... I thought on BA (BBC) it was "shift" 3, but if it was, it wont work now, or my importantly not on BA 2....If no key exist, then can we have one ? as I find that view perfect for viewing ahead, and all around...
Thank you....from an old worn out sniper....who still lives....just...

I am pretty sure SHIFT+3 should still work, but you can always alter the viewpoint by changing the values in DATA/MAPVIEW.TXT to alter the viewpoint to your liking.
Cheers

This thread discusses how to edit the MAPVIEW.TXT:
viewtopic.php?f=322&t=53256
Don't worry that the game is Pike and Shot, it uses the same engine as BA2, and the MAPVIEW.TXT file is the same.

Yeah like the guys have said, SHIFT-3 should work in BA2 to get in/out of the low angle shot.
Also editing the Data > MAPVIEW values gives you much more flexibility for all the general views.
I use these values-
PITCH 19
ZOOM 400
ZOOMLIMIT 700
ZOOMINLIMIT 200
ROTATE 30
FOV 30
The PITCH value is the one that lets us look up towards the horizon (low number), or down at our feet (high number).
The ZOOMINLIMIT is a line suggested by the devs that we can add for more flexibility.
Here are some of the views I get with all the above values-
This one is a zoomed-out view ideal for seeing large maps-
PS- I found a very useful key by accident which isn't mentioned in the manual or hotkey list, hit key 'M' when you're in low angle view to make the flags keel over to reveal what's behind them like this-
1- Not keeled
2- Keeled

For now I've settled on ..
Pitch 20
Zoom 400
Zoomlimit 700
Zoomminlimit 200
Rotate 30
Fov 30
but time will tell....Thanks a million everybody for helping clearing this up...... Pip-pip..

You have to change the Pitch value. Pitch changes the angle of the camera, the ZOOM settings just control how much you can zoom in or out.
