Hi,

as Skythia I got Colchis as a client state last turn. This turn I look into the diplomacy panel and I get a 'What happened to your previous client states is just horrific -20%' bonus!
I did nothing to Colchis and nothing happened to them AFAIK. There were two raids (not by me) and both were repelled.

Why did I get this 'bonus'?

Did you have any client states prior to gaining Colchis that got trashed?
In one game I had Dalmatia as a client state that got picked apart like a left-over Thanksgiving turkey by independents and had that message and modifier.

Neither did I have previous client states nor was Colchis trashed by anyone. They got raided twice (not by me) but defeated both.

Can't imagine what would have been the cause then... besides a bug.

No. It went away after a few turns.
