so if I start a game such as Order of Battle then click on the website tab at the Game Menu of Order of Battle it takes me to the Slithering website ok great I can click on My Page etc. but there is not easy way to get to the patches of a game even from the my page downloads section if I own Order of Battle if I own other games that have no dlc then maybe its easier

I cannot comment on the websites. I can advise you to "stick with the Stickies" in this forum, among which is usually a thread with links to the latest patch.

Normally with "Check for Update" the patch can be downloaded directly ?
