There is some word here:
https://venturebeat.com/2019/12/04/fant ... g-new-dlc/
Slitherine says that the Onslaught DLC will come with the following features:
A 15-20 map campaign of procedurally generated maps. You pick a hero and faction and set out to hunt for the Crown of Fire. Lead designer Jan Wagner said the Crown “is required to run the Forge of Light and you see it in a vision that you will need it to save the world from the Shadowlord.”
13 new aerial units, such as Giant Eagles, Nightmares, Flamethrowers, Hunters, and Firebirds.
An Ironman mode
A new Invasion campaign map that introduces aerial units and a new Barbarian Clan: the Eagle Riders.

Good news!
I´m in it for the campaign alone, so I hope they don´t skimp on number of missions.

It would be great to have another campaign to play.

A new Campaign will be nice, but it’s not enough. I hope the Random Map generator will have more options and features.

Onslaught will have an endlessly replayable, procedurally generated maps campaign. That should hopefully be plenty

Is the Ironman mode optional?

yes, Iron Maiden can be activated - Onslaught is more fun with it, but we don't force anyone to play this way.

To clear up any confusion, by a procedurally generated maps campaign, you mean that each map will be different each time you play it?

Yes- we have a system of "priority areas" that allows to create a certain base structure and then procedurally generate endless variants of this, so each battlefield, reward structure, enemy composition and loot will be different but still make sense (so it is NOT random) and be part of a greate logical frame.
