Hi, and sorry if that topic has been already discussed about, I didn't find it !
How many dices do archer LF have while shooting in supporting fire during impact phase...
Reading "Supporting fire, not LF vs foot" line in "IMPACT" chapter of "COMBAT MECHANISM" table, I understand one dice per base of foot with bow...
but do we have to apply the reduction of the chapter "ALL" : means lose 1 dice per 2... ?
thank you much

Supporting shooters provide 1 dice per base of support shooters so if you are fighting one base you get one dice of supporting shooters, two bases two dice etc. Once you have determined how many dice you start with you then apply any dice losses, light foot support shooters lose one dice for every two so one or two bases give one support shooting dice, three or four give two etc.

Indeed? All this time I thought LF support shooters
get one dice per two bases as in regular shooting.

In the
impact phase light foot lose one dice for every 2.

Except the rounding is different.
In shooting they get 1 dice for every 2 bases shooting at the same target.
In impact they 1 dice for the first base, and 1 extra dice for every extra 2 bases in the same BG.

The rounding is what it says in Hammy's reply.
Combat, lose 1 dice per 2. So you have to have 2 bases to lose one.
Shooting gain 1 dice for every 2. You have to have Two bases to get 1dice.

There is no rounding in FoG. It is always either gain 1 per N or lose 1 per N. Effectively that means that sometimes you round up and sometimes you round down but it is far easier to remember that in shooting you get dice and in close combat you lose them.

Orbs round up to the nearest 1/4 of the whole unit though.
