Please help a Marble Maniac in Montrose.

In the game in mind, the Picts wish, more than anything else, to create cultural artifacts from marble. What is their best way to start this cultural extravaganza? What should be constructed to find the marble, and what should be constructed once it has been found?

Quarry -> Small chance of Marble Vein showing up next as a possible build option. So, just try to build as many quarries as you can, hope for the best!

Thanks, jimwinsor. So build one quarry, and keep refreshing subsequent build options in that Region till marble appears? To speed the likelihood of Marble vein appearing, build quarries everywhere, and keep refreshing then? Once we have struck a vein, will one be sufficient to supply all of Northern Europe, for example, given adequate trade range? How can we ensure that we extract sufficient marble from that vein?

One source can support any number of importing regions. However, the trade range of the importing region is used, not the one of the exporting region, and overseas imports are only possible to and from coastal regions.

I haven't looked into detail on marble utilization, but you can check in the section "Trade Goods M thru S" of Grognerd's guide to see everything it can be used for.
