Spoty wifi causin my FOG II multiplayer to lock up

Currently, in a location with weaker than usual wifi and I have had my FOG II multiplayer games lock up twice in the past week or so. Is there a way you can modify the server to save the turn at the point where the game locks up? In other words, the server would be saving a partial turn as you can normally do. Then once the wifi is strong enough, the player could go back to where they left off and end their turn. Fortunately, I am leaving this location next week so the problem will be resolved at that point.

Are the games locking up during play, or when you attempt to send the turn? Wifi failure shouldn't cause a lockup, the HTTP coms runs in its own thread specifically to deal with naughty TCP stacks.

If the wifi signal is weak enough, I can't send the turn even if I have finished the turn. I have waited as long as an hour to resend the turn but once the wifi is either weak or I lose the connection on my laptop, I have not been able to send the turn. What I have done is close Steam, change to my hot spot and/or reconnect local wifi to my laptop. Then I am able to send the turn, but the server has not saved what I had done earlier and I have to start over. Any suggestions on what to do if I lose the wifi connection to my laptop during a FOG II turn?

When sending the turn the game resets the HTTP connection each time it tries, and if this is failing to reconnect to the wifi then unfortunately is sounds like the driver or the stack still isn't reconnecting to the wifi as it should. Sadly this isn't uncommon, depending on the type of wifi adapter. Saving periodically will help to maintain the turn progress, but if you keep having to reload turns you are likely to trigger the anti-cheating system.
