Given the popularity of the Oxford events, it may be both possible and sensible to look to run a 1-day event for FoGR at Roll Call next year
Would that be of interest ?

				Tim,
FOG R at Roll Call this year was a two day competition. Why are you proposing to drop it to one day?
If it is a one day competition then I may decide not to come.

The idea came up because of the popularity of the one day events you and Tom are running at Oxford relative to the popularity of the two-day event at Roll Call.
All of your 1-day events in Wolvercote are regularly attracting more players than the 2-day event at Roll Call has achieved in any of the last 3 years.
Copying the succesful Oxford format therefore seems a like a way to potentially grow player numbers at Roll Call.
It would also have the added benefit (to the Roll Call organising team) of allowing us to allocate more tables to TTS!, which is also a one-day event. There is considerable demand from TTS! players for more space, but the table space we can allocate to them on Saturday is limited by the need to use the tables on a second day for another ruleset. Currently we have Saga on Sunday, but with smaller tables that doesn't currently allow us to grow TTS! A 1-day FoGR event would be a win-win all round.

Interested in this, but is the price of £19 the same as other events lasting the two days, whilst some of the one dayers such as Saga are cheaper?

Anyone out there tempted or dithering?
I’m likely to come under pressure to reallocate tables elsewhere at some point so would be good to understand who else might’ve out there in the FoGR undergrowth...
