Ilovlya DLC42: Missing KV1-C ?

I have seen several posts about a KV1-C you can supposedly capture at Ilovlya in DLC42.
I have killed the armoured train in the south west and killed the troop transport close to it but no unit is spawning?
Does anyone have the exact coordinates where the KV1-C is due to appear?

Thanks but what exactly should you do to get it? I have killed the train but I am not getting the unit? Do you need to occupy any specific hex?

I thought it was just kill those spots and make sure you do not have a unit in that hex when you do Line 3, 23

This is interesting but how do you kill all units in "zone 30" while having time to spawn the KV1-C and without ending the scenario? As soon as I kill all units there I get a "Decisive Victory" and the scenario ends.

Leave a VH uncaptured.
Some strategies only become clear after looking at the editor.

How about sending some units along the western side of the map right from the get go?
That way you can easily clear out the area way before you have captured all victory hexes. I don't think that I've ever used a differen approach for this map.

It worked! I had to go back to turn 12 or whatever and then I skipped past one VH as I moved towards the "sector zone". The KV1-C spawned after I killed all units in the sector zone and I then captured the final VH.

Thanks!

Yeah I guess that's how the scenario designer intended this map to be played. I used to move around 80% of my force to the east from the the start and only send the remaining 20% south to capture the cities a long with the river. As my big, powerful, "eastern force" then captured all VHs on the east side of the map I finally moved west to the "sector zone" and quite easily destroyed what was there in a pincer with the support of my small western force. It works very well with low casualties but obviously the map was not meant to be played that way :)

Different people look at a map and see different things.
I remember comparing a Goose_2 play-though of Prokhorovka with my play-though, and wondered if we fought the same battle, our strategies were so different.

That is what makes the replayability of this great game. I still learn new things

True. And I guess it can be quite hard to do things differently as well. Once you've gotten used to a plan on a specific map, it is rare to deviate from it completely in future play-throughs.

Though lately I did try a different approach for Oboyan, I think. Always had a tough time getting across that river at the end, until I decided to cross it further east right where the river was bending from north-south to west-east. No idea why I never tried that one before. The only time I tried something somewhat similar, was when the Soviet units in defensive positions at the southern-most part behind the river opted to attack my nearby units, allowing me to destroy them and create an opening.
