In the scenario where 2 witches asked me to return their daughter, I decided to give them the doomed child (because I read that the curse is permanent, so it's no choice really), but the game does not accept that.

To be precise, I selected the dialogue option, it lifted the curse and gave me speed bonus, but the event window does not disappear and I can't do anything (have to force close the game).

To be able to go on for now don't use the wolfmother to step on the witch tents.

Oh, I thought that's what I was supposed to do.

I restarted the mission already and went on without ever visiting the witches. I still get the wolfmother, so it's kind of cheating I guess. I know you are rewriting the quest already, so maybe make sure player can't just get the unit for free without taking the quest?
