I bought the Steam version bundled with all dlc and it crashes every single time on my Asus laptop with Nvidia Gforce GTX 1650 with latest drivers, the error says device doesn't support vulkan

So I bought the disc version and it starts up and plays great but it doesn't have any dlc and it crashes when I try to patch the game,

II've spent over $100 just on this game and it's dlc and I have the steam version not working and the disc version not letting me patch or get dlc

I'm confused and need help

Could you please attach the game's log files and a DxDiag report file?

The log files can be found inside your Windows Documents folder at:

....\Documents\Proxy Studios\Gladius\Logs

How to get a DxDiag report file:

1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8/10 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8/10)
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
6. Attach the file to your message

Please update your game with the last patch. The run the game and if the issue is persisting please post the new log files (no need for DxDiag report file).

I did everything you said and now the disc version doesn't work

I've added the logs, I hope something can be done because I like this game alot from the brief time it worked

Set the Nvidia GPU as the preferred graphic processor for the game. You can do this via the Nvidia Control Panel. Check the link below for on how to do this:

Run the game and check if the issue persists.

I followed the instructions, but both versions still immediately crash

Have you reboot Windows?

Yes I restarted the Laptop right after applying the settings

I don't understand why the original disc version works fine until I patch it and update, then it no longer works, and the steam version has never worked

I bought the steam version because I wanted the dlc which adds the Chaos Space Marines and Tyranids my two favorite factions

I would guess the issue is that the game is trying to run using Vulkan on a GPU that doesn't support it. The original disk copy would be the pre-vulcan version, Steam auto-updates.

You need to force the game to run on your nVidia device rather than the (I assume) Intel low-power GPU it will try and start on.

I've gone over everything and it says I'm using the Nvidia card, here's the steam version log after it crashes

I took an image of my Nvidia control panel

Try updating also your Radeon drivers:

I updated the Radeon drivers and both versions of the game work now
