I can't finish the Red Star campaign past the battle of Rostov. I never lose Rostov and I obliterated every German unit on the board and yet at the end of turn 24 it says Defeat. I've done this twice...help

After applying the patch? The Rostov scenario worked once and the next time I played Red Star? It no longer works.

A number of things may be at play here. Two that come to mind are:

1) Did you happen to uninstall/reinstall OOB, or apply the 8.1.0 patch again? Because either of those procedures would overwrite the Rostov hotfix file with the original faulty file that is in 8.1.0.

2) Downloading and installing the hotfix again - you said "patch" which supports my questioning you in 1) - does not help if you already started Rostov and saved the game.

I took a look at the Rostov hotfix and it looked alright to me and you yourself said that it worked once. I cannot see any reason why a scenario would work once and not the next time, barring some campaign variable. I'll take another look depending on how you respond; I can't speak for the developers, of course, but if I find something, I will post it here.

No, this was a new campaign and I had already played it through once after applying the "hotfix" and it worked fine. Then Monday I chose to play the campaign again and it didn't work!
Don't understand what happened as I changed nothing.
I also posted to Bebro in the other original post about this problem.

If someone has a problem with this scenario, they can always use the cheat code #igotnukes for an instant (major) victory (Shift + c to open console).
You can do that just before the end of the scenario. That's what I was doing during the beta.

Next time I played the Red Star campaign? The "Rostov" triggers worked just fine. Not figure this one out but as long as it works? It's all good.
