I can not update to 8.1 thru my OOB game. I am running 7.1.8 and want to play the version Endsieg. I had to go directly to the site the last time and forgot now.

I assume you are playing the download version, not Steam (else the game would already be updated). Actually, you should be able to play Endsieg with version 7.1.8. However, you will want to upgrade to version 8.1.0 for two reasons:

1) The 8.1.0 patch corrected some issues, most importantly the unit graphics degradation that was introduced with version 7.1.8.
2) You need 8.1.0 to enjoy Red Star, which I can recommend to you as a fellow player (I am not an official and have no ties to anyone).

Note: Do not miss the part about extracting two files and saving them together; one is the installer (.exe) and the other is like a "Part 2" file.
