I have an old version of the game and I tried the d3drm.dll file solution - it launches the game, the intro videos start playing and then it just stops the game before even the menu appearing and gives no error message.

Can I fix it in any way or do I have to buy a new version?

And even if I wanted to buy a new version - it is not available on Steam and on your website, when I get over here - https://www.slitherine.com/game/gates-of-troy - it doesn't allow me to choose if I want a digital or a boxed copy and only at the checkout a button to order both (for double the price) appears, but I don't know if the default option for 10 euro is for the digital or for the boxed one...

welcome to the forum, the game works with the latest version of windows 10 with the fix, sometimes other items need doing as well to help windows 10 get around items that are disabled or enabled by default, so i did a guide to help

altering some or all of these suggestions will make any older game work out of the box once the latest version has been installed
