It seems like the Remove the Head scenarios ought to include the CinC fleeing off the field in the general morale check of the army. We've played quite a number of these, and only once was able to actually kill the leader, on one occasion even breaking the leader unit 3 times before he fled the field. I think if I were a foot soldier back then I'd be more disturbed by the CinC running away then falling in combat.

Historically you are correct, but it is simply too easy to rout the AI’s C-in-C to make this a suitable victory condition for SP games.

We would prefer not to have different victory conditions for SP and MP games.

Thanks for the response. I guess for our games we'll just have to agree in advance that if a player's CinC routs off the field, that player concedes the game.
