So I'm playing Erik's US Corps '42 and had some specialization points to spend so I tried some spec that gave me a medical jeep. I had a Sherman with 8500ish xp and a strength of 9 that was going to be healed by the med jeep. Now if I let the unit heal itself with standard reinforcement it was a 7% xp loss down to 7900. But if the jeep "healed" the Sherman xp dropped down to 7100! So I'm wondering what is the point of this unit other than to rob my units of experience?

I think it's able to repair up to 3 HP of the unit's health. Even if there's an enemy unit adjacent.
But the real useful part of that spec are the free RP when one of your unit's being attacked, though.
