The army list links need sorting - Hannibal will not be pleased at this lack of attention to detail

No - I think you'll find they are all working just fine

If anyone who went to Badcon ants to add in their own army lists to the Wiki, its very easy to do ...

Another enjoyable read.

It was also good to see the return of Hannibal as a commentator.

(It's a pity about all the adverts though...a bit like watching SKY. )

Having faced a Spartan army, I agree the armoured spears are the meat of the army and punishing frontally - needed to face off pikes and legionaries, although the protected hoplites are nice for facing cataphracts as you did. I like how you managed to push LH off the table against the GBact - will cite that as an example unless I learn of a better one.

Cranky old Hannibal is right about the fight against the Seleucid pikes. We all know the temptation of wanting to use a good attack plan because we can even though patience may be preferable. I would like to think that in your place natural caution would have had me push success on the right while setting things up to catch the Pikes in a vise if they came out but not venturing in.

At least the uncontrolled charge rules clearly work as intended!

Now, this time around I can blame my opponent for his excessive promotion of hair care products :-)

I probably need to go back and add to that report - one mistake I missed including was we managed to disrupt the cataphracts, but forgot to follow them up as they bounced off. They then managed to turn round and do a "Benny Hill maneuver" to escape from our belatedly pursuing spearmen. Other than that however I don't think we really had the opportunity to get hold of / kill any more units over on that side of the table (and we only got 2 I think in the battle in the RGo area), so we did need to take on the pikemen at some stage to go for a material victory and especially for the +5 points for a army break.
