Is anyone planning on starting a grand campaign in the near future? Preferably a 24 hour turnaround?

I'd like to be involved in a large multiplayer game and am prepared to play just about any region... although I'd have some nervousness in playing Epirus

Joking aside, I can start one tonight if you'd like- tier 1 and 2 factions, Experienced difficulty, 24h timer, 16 people? May take a day or two to get full, but anyone is welcome!

I think one game of scheming diplomacy is enough for me. Shall we keep it a bit simpler and leave it on a first-come-first-serve basis with freedom to choose your faction to any of the tier 1 and 2 ones and no game password? I don't mind losing!

I think diplomacy will be a factor in any game and rightly so as many of the smaller nations will struggle to survive without help from others.

I look forward to the game and you are right, I should have played Dacia!

Sounds fun. I'm looking forward to something a little calmer/simpler than these Antigonid games I've been rolling.

My only concern about no password is that all the slots get taken before I sign on to the game!

A password is preferable as it tends to weed out the more impulsive player who joins and then either doesn't play their move or drops out very quickly but it's your game so up to you.

You are oveestimating the multiplayer activity of the game! I hosted a 13 people challenge over the weekend with a similar setup to this one, and it took almost 2 days to fill it...

Let's say there's a password but is open to the forum here?

It depends how many players you want.

Aside from my initial MP game which is jogging along nicely with its original 16 players I am in almost 30 MP games and most have between 7 and 10 players ....many of these started with 16 ....most were no password games.

I am enjoying them all but it is just to make the point that the number of players is of much less importance than the commitment of those players who do join. Whilst I am enjoying all the games it is a bit annoying when a bit player like Rome or the Antigonids drops in turn two as any diplomacy planned is very much hampered.

Going for Antigonos. Ive barely played it in a mp match, but the thrill i got out of it reminded me of the good old days of playing Hearts of Iron 3 as the United Kingdom, in multiplayer against all the axis factions.

Fighting everywhere and at war with everyone and you gotta make all these strategic decisions on deployments and what not that will, if on the right time at the right area, decide the wars.. or not. Awesome.

I will join tomorrow morning (about 7 hours time !)
