I just got the SE aircraft in the Cassino scenario. This puts me at the SE Western Campaign limit. Will I lose the 1945 SE unit or is this an extra gift and I'll still get the 1945 SE unit?

New SE units are awarded randomly iff you are below the limit.
So no you do not get the '45 SE unit

If you want to keep all se tanks for softcap reasons you will have to disband the se aircraft. I usually disband as it is not upgradeable if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the reples. I'm leaning toward selling it at the end of '44 opening up '45 for another SE Panzer.

Even from a prestige maximization standpoint I'd probably keep the SE Bf-109k due to the insanely good hero and how it bumps the plane's stats to somewhere between a Fw-190 and Me-262 in terms of performance.

Therefore it's essentially a ~575 prestige unit saved from the soft cap with the cheap repair/over-strength of a Bf-109k. Adding both together could save more prestige in the long run than an SE Tiger II and comes with lots of experience to boot.
