Beginning to see the light...

As per the Velvet Underground song, really.
After moaning about the culture/decadence mechanism in previous posts, and speculating about how to circumvent it, I have to admit after more hours of game play that's it's just fine as it stands. And, as people have pointed out, it makes the game far more interesting than other games in a similar vein.
You were right, I was wrong - GREAT GAME!
