David,
Have just put the phone down to Steve and he asks what you have done to the list he gave you at Usk ?
He is using Thematic Byzantines.

so says the man with the "gamey" selecuid army. Someone has got to give you a chance of easy points so you half a chance of staying off the bottom

Thank you Oxford, for organising a fun and hospitable weekend. I really enjoyed my games and learned a great deal.
Thanks especially to Richard for your good natured encouragement in the face of my outrageous dice and a succession of lucky blunders masquerading as planned manoeuvres that robbed you of a victory that was rightfully yours.
And thank you Linda for a crash course in how not to cross sticks with Almughavars , even though you exterminated my army down to the last camp follower and stable boy.
(Actually, taking an army that consisted largely of camp followers and stable boys armed with poaching tackle to accompany a band of clueless knights might have been a tad optimistic of me. The ever-tightening cordon you threw around half a dozen units of retreating poor skirmishers was rather like the Mongol drill exercise of long-range animal hunts. Nothing but a neat heap of Byzantine corpses at the end.)
I look forward to coming back in a month for the SoA Doubles.

and after much pre-weekend and during weekend friendly banter, Bob: "and the final placings are???". Course nothing to do with a 3 element Roman Legion BG fighting a unit of 12 pike elements and 8 elements of Selecuid Legions equilavent, surviving and occasionaly winning ~5 bounds. As planned holding up your battle line while my MF cleared the village and charged your battle line in the flank had nothing to do with it

Does anyone know if David managed to sort out his army list in the end
