No Option to export to FOG 2

I bought Empires and Fog 2 yesterday. Fired up empires today (I played Fog 2 yesterday) and when I get into a battle there is no option to export. Can empires not find my FOG 2 directory? I installed them both to a slitherine folder
in Drive C. Does it need to be installed in a specific directory? This is very frustrating.

What version of FOG 2 do you have?

I have the latest beta version. I downloaded both games from the Matrix store.

I did a full uninstall and reinstall today and it still does not work. I used the default directories as well. Why is this not working? Is it possible to get a refund from the Slitherine/Matrix store?

Slitherine/Matrix store don't give refunds, we just offer solutions

so we would need more help to see what is wrong or what could be wrong

did you install both games as admin?

did you run both games as admin?

do you have a full admin account on windows?

do you have or use any special AV or firewall software?

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.

once the report has been made, just zip the file then attach it to your post as it's a Txt file which is then not permitted to attach to the forum, where as a zip file is.

To obtain the MSInfo file:
1. Press Windows Key + R.
2. Type MSInfo32 and press Enter.
3. In the MSInfo diagnostic window, click File, then Export.
4. When the Export As window appears, choose Desktop.
5. Name the file "MSInfo" and click Save.

the more information you give, the more chance of narrowing it down and saying what caused it, 9 out of 10 times it's something on the pc working in the background or a permissions issue, with not running the game as admin

I am pretty sure that the release version of Empires won't correctly find the beta version of FoG2. Try installing the current release version of FoG2.

Cheers

This was indeed the problem. The release version now allows me to export battles to FOG 2. Thanks PIP no need for a DXdialog. You guys should put a sticky or something about this.
