[SOLVED] Different Scripts Error Message

We just managed to start a game: Co-Op Britain. After the first turn was over, I received a message from the game that everybody was not using the same scripts, that this ought to be reported on the forum and that the game should be restarted.
I have re-created the challenge Co-Op Britain 2.
What might have happened?
It seemed that when we began, only four players were involved, but then after the second turn an additional player, Hibernii had joined the vacant slot. That was great to have the full number of players but might have caused the problem.

if anyone has modded their game or is using a different game version, not the same build etc, it won't work and you get that error

Ah I think that's my fault. I may have some very small changes in the files. Can't 100% remember.
Can I just drop the game and everyone else can keep going or what happens exactly?

the game see's this as cheating, so not a bug, but good game coding, as it see's anything different between all players and then remarks on it, so lets say one was using a mod, wouldn't matter if official or not unless everyone was using the same, you'd still get the same message, thanks for replying and letting others know

should add, at the moment MP doesn't support adding players after the start so that may have added to the problems caused by someone modding their own game files?

The changes don't impact the current games since they are challenges all about using tier 3 nations and the changes, depending on which ones I didn't clear out, only affect major nations. How does the game handle it? Can we just keep going? Doesn't seem to actually prevent us from playing.

as soon as one get a error, until that error happens no longer, i can't see how the game could continue, but will ask the developer, as i'm sure i'm right

It appears to me that the game continues but multiplayer is so slow without people doing dedicated nightly sessions that maybe I just can't tell. It appears to upload my turns and process other player data. The changes were mostly to modifiers I believe which are not super substantive to gameplay.

No problem, MoLAoS. It was only Turn 1, so lets restart the game. We might have even more players this time, too!
I shall recreate the challenge. Please re-join, everybody!

If one player has made edits to the scripts, map, or gameplay data, even if it is not meant to advantage themselves, it is very likely that players will experience inconsistencies in the simulation between turns and the warning message shouldn't be ignored.
If you want to do some modding for your single player game and also play in multiplayer, you must create your own copy of the grand campaign to modify and play in single player.

The same issue has occured again. This time the game is Co-Op Arabia. It is probably the same cause.
I have recreated the challenge as Co-Op Arabia 2. Please abandon the old game and lets restart afresh!

Its probably going to happen in all the games I joined. I just forgot I made the edit cause it was pretty small and you don't see it really in the game and I did it like the first day I got the game. Also I'm used to multiplayer where the game just runs whatever the host has so my mind just never popped up reminding me I had edited some modifiers.

It is good we found out in Turn 1 and can restart. Only a few players too, so not too much aggro.
