Peace mechanics

Nation A and B were allied, so when Nation C declared war on Nation B, Nation A was brought into the war.

Now Nation C offers Nation A peace. Just to be clear, this means that they are offering a separate peace, and may well be intending to remain at war with Nation B? And there is no way in the interface to see whether they are also offering peace to Nation B? And thus, if Nation A has military units in Nation B's territory, and the territory is attacked by Nation C, Nation A's units will not fight?

Yes, that's correct.

Related to that, we are checking though for a solution to former allies (now neutral) still saying in your territory.

Teleport them back to nearest home or allied province 😉

Same mechanic should be used on enemies when their armies are "stuck" in your territory after peace is declared.
