I want to get PC-gold but before buying am curious whether the PC or MAC version is the best choice?
My understanding is they are made by different companies?
I can do either so whatever platform is most stable for this game.

It seems PC is less of a hassle, I do not have anything mac so I am not fully informed, I have just seen a lot of complaints around mac stuff on the forum

The product page for Panzer Corps lists only Windows as supported operating system. So PC is only way to go now.

The word is that PC no longer works on the latest MAC operating system. Definitely go with the PC version.

Thank you both for the two answers. My suspicion was perhaps support for the MAC version, although preferred, might be scarce. I also noticed it said the editor doesn't work for the MAC version. Just as an FYI, I've played PG2 off and on since it came out with SSI. Odd I STILL play a game that old.

The odd thing is, if the MAC version doesn't work any more, why still sell it? It would have taken my purchase.

PzC does work with the latest Mac OS.
The NEXT Mac OS [Catalina] will not run PzC. It's a 32bit vs 64 bit thing. They will have to recompile the game to remove all 32 bit code.
They may offer an updated version, but it has not been announced that they will.

The Mac version of PzC is a port of the IPad version of PzC.
The IPad does not allow access to internal file directory, making modding more difficult.
So neither the IPad nor Mac port of PzC expects modding, so no editor.

Note the porting was outsourced so the actual dev have little to do with the porting result.

If I recall correctly, I think when you buy the PC version you get the Mac version (as part of it) anyhow... but from what I have read, it does not work anymore since the latest Mac updates... besides dalfrede, I think also proline had shared some thoughts on this on this forum...
