Hey all,

After fighting the multiplayer sign in/up process with FOG2 and FOGE I'm looking to play in a multiplayer campaign.

I'm a fairly relaxed player who plays for fluff as much as number grinding so I'm happy to play a weaker faction to add some flavour to a campaign.

Is anyone else interested in starting a game? Or does anyone have some slots they need feeling.

If people wanted to start a game, how does a 24/48 hour turn limit sound?

I’ve been getting an error message in multiplayer when I click on “accept challenge” that causes a crash, but if that gets resolved I’d be interested in trying out a game.

Have you managed to host a game? Maybe if you create the game you might not get the error. We can test if it helps.

I have not. But apparently it’s a known issue and the error can be bypassed. I’ll try it again when I get home from work.

That error appears to have been resolved now.

I have had no issues since yesterday.

In that case, yes, definitely interested. 48 hour turns would be better, I think, but I could do 24. Don’t know who I would play—maybe try Epirus?

Thanks to the above exchanges I have set up another MP game for 16 players on the MP server.

This one will have a 48 hour maximum turnaround of turns and all messages between players will be in game to lessen the time involved for players and to keep a level playing field.

It will start as soon as we reach 16 or by Friday at the latest.

All welcome.......if you are thinking about trying out MP join up by choosing "Accept Challenge" in the lobby, click on my game and just pick your preferred nation from the drop down on the left of the join up screen then tick to join.

I've joined up, I'm looking forward to the carnage that commences

I'm currently Macedonia but that was to get a slot in the game, I'm quite content to play one of the smaller nations, especially if we have some greeks who don;t want the big bad Macedonia on their doorstep.

I think you should stick with Macedonia.

Make sure you read the special rules that apply to this particular Diadochi faction.

It may seem that you can steamroller all those juicy Greek City States but it is not as simple as you may think

It's now 10 and I changed to Dacia as it will probably be a bit more manageable for a newb, if anyone wants Macedonia, if not, I will probably have a change of heart and change to something random

Just got home and logged in, and I can confirm that whatever issue there was with my multiplayer server has been fixed. But the only games I see listed are password-locked. Did this one already fill up? Or is it just not showing up for me?
