Capital Province?

Quick question regarding the placement of the capital of the province which your national capital is located in:

When I formed the province of Italia Superior in my current Rome game, Etruria got chosen as the province capital instead of Latium, which means my units get recruited in Etruria (and miss out on any xp bonuses from buildings in Latium). Can a provincial and national capital share the same region?

To be fair, it may have been Latium to begin with--I had a rocky start (I have been at war with most all of Italy for the entire game) and I've had to retake Rome from invaders more than once, so it may have gotten moved then and just not shifted back--I think it was initially in Etruria, though.

IIRC, when you click the form province icon from a particular region screen, that region then becomes the province capital.

The devs should implement an option to change the capital.
I wanted my region capital in southern Iberia as Rome in the most southern coastal gold province, but instead it just selected an inland province, with next to no trade or wealth possibilities

I'll have to try that out. Super useful if that's how it works.

You can. Disband and it will rebuild in the region producing the most culture, I think 3 turns later
