Anyone know where I can buy 15mm scale rectangular wicker shields used by the Sparabara infantry?

Magister Militum do them but only with the warriors themselves.

DONNINGTON. I think it's code W10, listed as 12 x 8 mm.

I'ver ordered some, although they are described as oblong - don't know if this means rectangular or oval.

I'd be worried if oblong didn't mean rectangular :o

The Donnington wicker shield is definitely rectangular. Unfortunately I seem to have lost the ones I ordered, so I am not sure of the details. Attached is an image of a Donnington with a wicker shield, which MAY be similiar.

how flexible are the sellers? 30 pound postage for an 0.18p pack is a little steep.

I've been informed this morning that they apply their postage charging policy "rigidly"....after trying to buy 8 figures at York when they'd turned up without any figures at all to sell!
...so good luck....

That's funny, I thought their shipping charge to the USA was fairly "reasonable".

Out of curiousity, I put 100 wicker shields in their shopping cart (for UK delivery). Cost was 12.00 for the shields and 2.50 pounds for shipping.

Just received them. They are the ones in Delbruck's photo or very similar. Could have bought a box of mini shredded wheat and saved some money Lol.

nope. they told me they would ship anything up to 25pound for a flat rate of 10 pound.

waaaay too steep for 48 shields costing something like 5 pound.

might ask for them to cut me some slack...

that, or will scratch-build from something. off to the hardware store for wire mesh i go!
