With the UK grinding to a halt, I'm guessing a few UK gamers will be off work today and will be mucking about on the web pretending they are logging itno work remotely. For those in this unfortunate situation I've now set up a special "Things to do on a Billy-bonus Day Off" page with timewasting links for you to enjoy. 8)

This is the link to the Day Off page.

For the UK read the home counties and you might be a bit more accurate ;)

Snow is not unheard of in the Northern part of the UK you know. The problem is that when it snows anywhere near London the "whole country" grinds to a halt

Your side of the Pennines may be ok, but on this side (or the "proper North" as it is known - this said by a Southerner) we have plenty of the white stuff.

Hammy, we know it snowed in the North yesterday but our London centric media only knew that 'cos they saw it on the TV while watching the football. Point taken.

Hey we have white stuff here as well.

I bet however that if Yorkshire had the same amount of snow it does today and London was just its usual dreary self the weather might just make the last item in the news before "and finally"

...and the problem with that would be exactly...?

Hammy is just jealous of us living in a real city.

Now, let me get back to my working from home...

In the West we've all bravely struggled through and got to work, only those coming from the East have failed to show.

And sadly the work's firewall blocks Tim's madaxeman site as it's considered a social forum... lucky they've missed this one so far.

I am Snowed in down near Swansea and have flocked some bases.

My main interest is to get over my hangover from the Brother in Laws 60th Birthday party last night. I discovered a real ale that really messes you up after a Gallon and a Half.

You should try real farmhoue scrumpy.

A pint you feel it.
2 pints you really feel it.
3 pints, ANYONE can feel it.

Quoted for truth. This muppet drove to work....quicker than a normal Monday as roads were are clear! That lead pile will be just as big when I drive home too. Bangs head on work desk.

Just over a foot of snow here ... so home office bound for the day. I was plannign a game of golf tomorrow ... perhaps not.... would need to play with red balls ... and would end up with blue ones!!

I shall finalise my challenge armies instead.

About 15 degrees in Badajoz and there were rumours of rain clouds being seen in the distance but it was just a sick joke. Terrible winter indeed.

It was our turn here in Portland, Oregon in late December--something 14 inches of snow in a week. Little enough for the Midwest US perhaps, but a big deal for us. Enjoy your day home in the UK (assuming you have a day home thanks to the snow)
