At launch, we will have another scenario, a small one covering the Pyrrhic War of 280BC, but this is intended for people to get familiar with the game and warfare especially in a small setting focused on the Italian peninsula
excellent idea
can this be considered a tutorial?
is it defined in time?
for example 20 or 30 rounds of play
or is it subject to a condition?
for example reject the Romans off all regions of "Magna Graecia" or Great Greece
Finally, can we continue the game then if we wish

That's a scenario focused of military operations, mostly on the boot of Italy. It lasts 15 turns and you win if you take either Tarentum or Rome. It is not specifically a tutorial scenario, as it is not that easy to win it.
Yes you can continue playing past the end date, but the scope is limited.

awesome
but the scope is limited.
Why ?
I do not understand
is there only military control?
we do not manage the regions?

Scope as in geography, not game features.

Ah ok thanks
we do not play all over the map then?
I will wait until the exit I will see at this moment
last question Epire is stronger than in -310?
(having more region to the detriment of macedonia and thessallia)

It won't have hold on Macedon in the scenario, a mistake probably, on the other hand, as it was a very recent conquest, it would not have been much productive I guess.

I'd love to see smaller scenarios like this one or larger, for multiplayer games that can be completed in 2-4 months. For example, a Punic Wars scenario covering just the western Mediterranean between 270-140 BC (130 turns).

Would it make much of a difference? You could agree on an end date and the available "nations" among the players. Or are you looking for different start dates as well?

Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily want to start every game at 310 BC. The relevant map regions could be zoomed in somewhat as well. Another possibility would be to play even shorter conflicts at 4 turns/year (e.g. 2nd Punic War scenario would be 4 seasons x 20-years = 80 turns total).

From my understanding it shouldn't be too hard for modders to create scenarios with different start dates and hopefully different end dates.
I personally would love to see a start date with the Neo-Assyrians, Neo-Babylonians and Late Kingdom Egyptians still going strong, or one starting at the beginning of Cyrus the Greats conquests, or in the middle of the crisis of the 3rd century with Palmyra and the Gallic Empire holding large chunks of the empire.

The Second Punic War was also fought in Greece.

Not sure how much fun it would be to play Macedon at the edge of the map, but Greece should definitely be included in a Punic War scenario, even if it's just an AI faction for others to ally/fight with.
