So I purchased the entire series last week during a sale (sans Kriegsmarine). I installed the default OOB WW2 core thinking that is what I needed to do and input in all my serial numbers. Then I updated the game to 7.1.8. Then I started the game, I started the tutorial and then it just crashed, I moved the two US Infantry units but could not move the Stuart for some reason, and after I clicked on it a few times and also right and left clicked into locations I wanted to move it to the mouse just spun and spun and spun so I Ctl+Alt out and then back in and it was black screen so I killed the game. Now every time I start up the tutorial on the main screen there is no longer any launch button to begin the tutorial.

Not understanding why it's now broken and no longer working!

Kind of bummed I rushed out and dropped $100 bucks for something that does not seem to even work.

Disappointed so far.

So I went into the settings and reset the tutorial data thinking that might help. But no, it did not. I got the pop up explaining about the tutorial but when I clicked on the Continue button, the mouse just spun and spun and I had to Alt+Tab out and then kill it from the task bar.

Should I delete everything in this folder?

C:\Users\dlazo\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2\Settings

Should I try to reinstall 7.1.8?

Or just reinstall the core game and then instead of trying to add the serial numbers install all 11 exes?

Frustrating...

What worked for me during my last re-install was:
Install core
Update to 7.1.8
Activate the DLC serial numbers.

If you have a corrupt install or other issues, I would recommend uninstalling and restarting PC first.

Edit: Also, remove the My Games -> 'Order of etc' folder

Thanks Erik, trying to reinstall the game with out uninstalling the game first and see what happens.

Question, do you have to individually install all the DLC update/releases?

It seems from the core install that you don't.

Well that did not work. Game totally crashed again when I hit continue on the first tutorial in that first screen.

Totally bummed out!

Make sure you have your keys stored someplace. Uninstall EVERYTHING; strip it down to bare bones. This includes, AFTER UNINSTALLING, manually deleting (I'm talking PC here - you'll have to decipher if you are using a Mac):
C:\Program Files\Slitherine\Order of Battle - WWII
C:\Users\[name]\AppData\LocalLow\The Artistocrats
C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2

Next, make sure you have enough disk space to install the game. Also, when is the last time you defragmented your hard drive?

(If these DLC products do not appear on the list, they must be manually installed by double-clicking the DLC download files. Proceed with the installation and install the DLC later.)

When finished, click Next. Make sure the Install is pointing to the correct folder: C:\Program Files\Slitherine\Order of Battle - WWII. Proceed with the update installation. When finished, the game should be version 7.1.4 and all campaigns should be available.

Upgrade the program with OoBWWII-MultiUpdateComp-v7.1.8. If a problem indicated by a blank, black screen upon game start occurs, delete the C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2\Settings folder and restart the game.

Thanks Bru, I'll give your detailed instructions a go tomorrow morning.

So I did all that. And with a clean slate I still have and issue when I run the 7.1.4 installer, it still has all the serial numbers in the bottom portion of the installer dialog. I went ahead and am trying to install the basic game, but so far no way to clear out the entries previously even with an uninstall and removing all the folders you mentioned.

Must be some registry thing.

Anyway I'll post any updates as I go along.

So after uninstalling the game, and deleting all the folders, when I run the OoBWWII-MultiSetupRelease-v7.1.4

So there is some place on the computer that is storing the values, I deleted all the files as suggested.

Also when I did the reinstall with the above, it no longer has a Game Menu item shortcut on the desktop.

So the game launched and I am running the tutorial, but it's only version 7.1.4.

In a few I'll trying the upgrade to 7.1.8 and see if that works of it that is bugged.
