I know that all the titles that I have on my antiquated iPad 4 will never be ported to 11. However can they be played on IOS 9 or only on 10? I need to buy an older model to keep these games active and are seeing good prices for IOS 9 iPads ..

You're actually better off with IOS 9 -> pre IOS 10.3.

I maintain 1 of each since 10.3.2 broke some sound features on older games.

IOS 9 should be fine for the Slitherine games that are victims of the App-pocalypse
