I purchased all the DLC content as well as the main game through steam. My question us how do I access all the different factions for multiplayer. When I try to create a match I am only given the options for Orks or SM. Do I need to play the DLC campaigns to unlock the other races?

You can only play the additional factions in skirmish games - create a skirmish via the button on the MP challenge screen and you can choose from a variety of options.
