Are there gonna be any political features in the game? Things like internal political faction/senate mechanics or character/general loyalty issues that can cause civil war.
i was very disappointed with aggressors rome due to the lack of any of these features as it just turns the game into a military map painter which gets boring very fast. paradox's imperator rome was also a big let down due to the same issues.

This is definitely not just military map painter.
It has a very involved trade and economic system along with the unique culture and Decadence mechanic which will prevent a straightforward map painting exercise. Troop types are much more varied and the battle system more detailed.
As for internal politics this is not the focus of the game so if you are looking for a Crusader Kings experience you will be disappointed. The Das Tactic you tube playthrough as Carthage does show the impact of changes of ruling families in Carthage but these appear to be event rather than player driven.

It is a bit of a shame not to include internal politics, but I imagine that would be very difficult to flesh out for factions other than the major powers. It just seems a lot of Rome's decision making was driven by the nature of their political system (e.g. seeking a premature battle in the First Punic War to keep the glory for this year's consul.)
I wonder how the game will manage the many Roman civil wars (Marius-Sulla, Caesar-Pompey), or if it doesn't cover that time period.

well the game runs from 310 BCE to 190 CE, so yes it covers Rome's many civil wars in the late Republic era
