I have tried the cheat codes on my Mac notebookpro. The +500$ worked but the extra land cp doesn't. I find this aspect of the game very very frustrating. Does anyone know how tho get around that problem on a MAC ?

I don't think there should be any differences between the PC and MAC version when it comes to cheat codes. The console commands seem to work for you, too.
So "#landcp 10", for example, should do the trick.
Just be sure to input the code after you've started the scenario!
