Been reading a lot of the forum and I’ve noticed that it seems like it is a prerequisite for players who want to do sealion to reject the armistice with France in order to do so.

Why is that the case? Is getting French North Africa and Spain into the war that much of an advantage?

Wouldn’t it be easier to race to Paris sign the armistice and immediately retrofit/repair and move to the channel ports for Sealion in the summer of 1940?

Tex, I only reject the armistice if I do NOT intend to carry out a Sealion operation.
The reason I reject the armistice is because I want Casablanca - and Spain as an ally - and that requires sending German armour (for speed) and air force to Africa.
Operation Sealion is an all-out operation so I never carry out both.

If Sealion is in the cards, then accepting the French armistice offer makes the most sense. If you reject the French armistice, then you may have to spend time chasing leftover French units around on the continent, and France will likely still have its air force and navy to assist Britain.
