MDF base edges

I thought I would add this as I couldn`t see anything on it in the search.
I use MDF for my bases and also will be using Movement trays so the cutting has to be fairly spot on. Now when you paint and flock the edges of your base you actually ruin your size definition of your base and they don`t fit your tray.
You can either not paint your base edges which I think looks awful on a finished model or you can paint the edges of the base in a suitable colour which has to be done earlier or later than your flocking.
A much faster way is to buy an inkpad as used for rubber stamps and buy whatever coloured ink you want to use (I use Black) This also has to be done before the flocking but takes about 4 seconds a base to do. Now you may say that that is not a great timesaver but that depends on how many figures you have to base.
As an aesthetic little plus they also have the look of expensive laser cut bases
Cheers Terry.
