I have been playing this great game non stop....and I have played pg2 and my question is about heroes, I have come across most of the heroes in pc1 and was wondering if there was a weather hero for the airforce like in pg2.....being able to fight in any weather condition?

No, there are no weather or special function heroes.
Just attack, defense, initiative, spotting, and move
Range available for Art, and AA

The PG2 heroes are much more diversive and interesting, such as devastating fire, first strike, all weather combat, ignoring zoc, the rock, half ammo comsuption, etc.. Not necessarily more realistic of course, but I do miss them as well.

Maybe something to consider for PzC2?

I was young when I played PG II, so the heroes were complicated to me. I like them being random and having variable stats and not worrying about putting them in different units.

It’s less “stats” and more “feats” when you talk about PG2 heroes. Actually more like super powers.
IIRC there was one called “sixth sense” who can never be ambushed, and a “gambler” who will never get a random result worse than the predicted one.
Even the more mundane ones can still be ridiculously over-powered if they appear in PzC. For example, imagine a pioneer with first strike who will shoot first all the time against anything.

Ok, yes some of those powers are kinda crazy. An AT gun with attack first hero would crush tanks, even on the attack.
Wouldn't mind the gambler. I seem to on the wrong end of the predictions a lot.

Yeah, I have given up on this a bit and mostly play Limited (Dice Chess)...

I'm still using normal. Hate it when in the open my tiger slips on a banana peel and takes damage from conscripts. Makes me so mad. That or when my AAA deals zero damage to enemy aircraft.

I remember Panzer General 2. There was a Liberator leader that gives you more prestige when you takeover towns. And a tank leader that gives another attack.... maybe after you destroy a unit I think make called Blitz.
Can we still play PG2? Does it work on modern computers? Where can we get it?
Did anyone play People's General? I was so young & naive and I bought it at Virgin Records store and was so excited to get it home to play it. It was kind of like a Cold War era version of Panzer General.

Look on old-games.com or panzergeneraldownload.com to find both and the other SSI games. I enjoyed People's General once upon a time.
